Tijdens dit Lunchpauzeconcert worden grenzen verkend en werelden geopend — van neoklassieke elegantie tot mythische diepte en filmische grandeur.

We openen met de Suite (1949) van Alexandre Tansman. Heldere lijnen, ritmische vitaliteit en subtiele invloeden uit jazz en neoklassiek geven dit werk een frisse, elegante energie.
Het werk Voice of the Fool van Simon Holt neemt ons mee naar een soort donkere, schaduwrijke wereld en stijgt langzaam op, om uiteindelijk zijn eigen stem te vinden.
Tot slot horen we delen uit de Suite opus 23 van Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Rijkromantisch, virtuoos en doordrenkt van theatrale flair weerspiegelt deze muziek de weelderige stijl waarmee Korngold zowel de concertzaal als later Hollywood veroverde.
Dit concert is inclusief een kopje soep.

During this Lunchtime Concert, boundaries are explored and worlds are opened — from neoclassical elegance to mythical depth and cinematic grandeur.

We open with the Suite (1949) by Alexandre Tansman. Clear lines, rhythmic vitality, and subtle influences from jazz and neoclassicism give this work a fresh, elegant energy.
The work Voice of the Fool by Simon Holt takes us to a kind of dark, shadowy world and slowly ascends, eventually finding its own voice.
Finally, we hear excerpts from the Suite opus 23 by Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Richly romantic, virtuosic, and steeped in theatrical flair, this music reflects the opulent style with which Korngold conquered both the concert hall and later Hollywood.
