Chuck Roth is een gitarist en componist uit New York. Zowel zijn songwriting als zijn improvisatiepraktijk stellen hem in staat het scala aan klanken van de gitaar te verkennen en de manier waarop muzikale vormen zich in de loop der tijd ontwikkelen. Geïmproviseerde muziek is haar voornaamste interesse, met name de ontwikkeling van gedeelde vormen in realtime, het creëren van communicatieve structuren, eventueel aangevuld met elektronische elementen, kostuums of installatieve geluidsobjecten.
